The Libraries Doorstep

Description

Nestled among the rolling hills, near the top of one of the smaller hills, is a simple flat, black(like obsidian but matte) rock, with a simple carved border, that changes periodically. The Rock raises out of the ground by about 6 inches. The rock is rather large, nearly 4 feet by 2 feet, and perfectly horizontal. The rock is magical, and has an aura of conjuration magic, should players ever examine it in such a way. The stone is breakable(AC 15, HP=50) but restores itself every night, at midnight, and warded by magic.  

A magical door to the Accursed library can be summoned, if a raven feather quill is used to complete a scroll of knock. The ink for the scroll is a mixture of the writers blood, the blood of someone they love, and the blood of someone who was recently killed. The complete scroll is placed on door step, and consumed. A door appears at the stone, which is made of polished marble. There is a knocker in the shape of a scroll, and the handle is in the shape of a quill. The Door opens inward to the Accursed Library. Alternately the door appears every night there is a new moon at exactly midnight.  

The door makes anyone one who views in uneasy.

Since Alphonse Costello's return to del-Tor, word of The wonders of the Library have spread, and scolars are starting to make thier way to investigate the library, and use the entry method discribed by Alphonse(see above) Adventures headed there now see a rough low stone building roughly 20-15 feet, which serves as a storehouse, and bunk room. A tower is being build, and is currently 20 feet tall, with a base of nearly 40 feet diameter. Ths town will serve as a starting ground for those wo venture into r out of the library. The black stone is near the short stairway into the first floor fo the tower.
